Here are our top 4 easy tips on how to accomplish your goals:
- Postural correction – Practicing ideal posture during the day for short periods can help strengthen your postural muscles. This can then effortlessly optimise your workouts or positions you assume with sports skills or even at work or home
- Stretching & Mobility – add some stretches into breaks during your daily routine to avoid a build up of stiffness in the muscles and joints. You may want to tailor the stretches to what your exercise and sport commitment is for that day or you may wish to incorporate a generalise routine for improved mobility through the body. Plan to tackle it, increasing your flexibility on a daily basis will leave you feeling much better
- Core – Dedicate some time in your week to focus on core training exercises. You don’t need any equipment and copious time to integrate some pelvic floor contractions which will enhance your control, stability and balance in your daily function and sport. If you have not been shown how to correctly activate these muscles or how to include them into your routine, our physios and EP can assess your contraction and function with these muscles in providing instructions and exercises tailored to your needs
- Schedule – Review your exercise and training schedule to see what variations you can introduce. It is a good idea to review and freshen up your exercise routine to avoid neglecting areas of your body or your fitness. This also helps to prevent overuse injuries that result from unnecessary repetitive strains.
