Following Prime Minster’s most recent national update last night (Tuesday 24th March 2020), Scott Morrison specifically identifed physios as businesses that remain open as essential healthcare providers for the community during the current unprecedented times. PROHEALTH PHYSIO & FITNESS want to continue to reassure our clients that “Yes We’re Still Open” & ready to assist with your physio & fitness (EP) needs.

Yes We’re Still Open – further to our recent various Coronavirus Updates, we continue to place paramount importance on the health & safety of our clients, staff & community. We want to advise all our current & prospective clients that we remain open to treat new & existing clients as well as continually enhancing our safety procedures aligned with the current advice & are continually developments.

The current guidelines allow us to operate as we are in a Healthcare setting, anyone with an injury can be assured that they can come to PROHEALTH PHYSIO & FITNESS to continue to receive either physio or ftiness (exercise physiology) treatments.

We currently have the following procedures in place to minimise risk & improve safety:

  • We are now asking clients:
    • to ensure they bring appropriate clothing for treatment as for increased safety we will no longer be providing shorts or gowns to change into
    • for those who are concerned, for them to bring their own towel
    • to complete new client forms before coming to their initial consultation
  • None of our staff have been unwell & if any staff have coronavirus symptons they will be asked to not to attend the clinic in accordance with the current guidelines
  • We ask all clients & visitors to our clinic to abide by these rules & not attend the clinic if you have been/are unwell or have been overseas in the last 14 days
  • We ask all people entering PROHEALTH PHYSIO & FITNESS to utilise throughly wash their hands or use hand sanitiser on arrival
  • We have increased hygiene & cleaning procedures in the clinic
  • Reception area:
    • We have removed all books, magazines, water glasses, jelly bean jar, etc from our reception area
    • We have also removed 2 chairs from our waiting area to enforce social distancing
  • Reception desk is sterlised rehgulalr after each client visit
  • We have also decide that our staff will not handle cash & will only be accepting card payments or electronic payments
  • We will provide tissues at reception if our clients prefer to use a tissue to touch a pen or press any buttons on our Hicaps/EFTpos machine
  • This contnues to be a tough one for our PROHEALTH team as we won’t be shaking your hand during this period. We wil be unable to encourage you with high fives, fist pumps, elbow pumps. Although toe taps are ok & of course a socially distanced virtual high fives are also readily available 🙂
