Do you suffer aches & pains from running or training that massage just won’t fix? Dry Needling Therapy (DNT) might be for you.

Dry Needling Therapy (DNT) – No matter what level of training you undertake, whether it be elite level or just a simple jog in the park, as your activity levels increase so does the possibility of common aches and pains. This is often due to muscular fatigue or weakness that can cause tight and painful muscle bands known as trigger points (or “knots”). Dry needling has proven effective in the release of these trigger points and improves the chemical imbalance in muscle fibers, reducing pain and restoring function to get you back to running!

One of the most common questions our physiotherapists get asked is, “does dry needling hurt?”

Dry needling feels different for each individual. More often then not, dry needling is actually less painful than our physios getting stuck in to your muscles with their hands or elbows! Dry needling can be tailored to each individual with different levels of intensity; just communicate with your physiotherapist so they can help you find which level is appropriate for you. There’s an option for everybody, so why not give dry needling a try!
